She was predeceased by: her daughter Mary Ruth; her parents, Gilbert Shelby and Marion Shelby; her siblings, Thomas Shelby (Irene), Janet Bates (Bennie), Rosella Larko (Dan), Gibby Shelby (Ruby) and Dorothy Otto (Kenny); and her in-laws, Reuben, Irene Pohto and James Ross.
She is survived by: her husband Gerald R. Pohto; her children, Roberta Brown (Bobbi), Rebecca White (Becky), Lorraine Mauk (Dennis), Jeannette Hamlett (Jack), Donna Mulqueeny (Jay), John Pohto (Jennifer), Gary Pohto, Ray Pohto (Shelly), Beth Garverick (Kelly) and Mike Pohto; and her sister-in-law Nancy Ross. She is also survived by great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews.
