The memory of Amelita D'Angelo Ritz of Mentor, Ohio, who passed away on February 11, 2025 at the age of 87, will forever remain in the hearts of those touched by this precious presence in their lives. She was predeceased by: her parents, Nick D'Angelo and Adeline D'Angelo; her husband George Ritz; her siblings, Americo D'Angelo and Gloria Vetturini (late Domenic); her nephew Nicholas D'Angelo; and her uncle Mario Pantalone.
She is survived by: her nieces and nephews, Domenica Green (Dennis), Michelle McPhillips (Michael), Paula Vetturini, Anthony Vetturini and Salvatore D'Angelo (Donna); her great-nieces and great-nephews, Nicole Hoogenboom (Kevin), Ryan Green, Matthew Green, Patrick Green (Madi Bender), A. J. Vetturini, Evan Vetturini, Sam D'Angelo, Nicholas D'Angelo (Lauren Resetar), Natalie D'Angelo, Alex D'Angelo (Meredith), Carri D'Angelo and Morgan D'Angelo; her sister-in-law Alice D'Angelo; and also, Charlotte, Ella Hoogenboom, Lennon D'Angelo and Jake Green. She is also survived by many loving cousins, neighbors and friends.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, February 18th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the McMahon-Coyne-Vitantonio Funeral Home (6330 Center St, Mentor, OH 44060). A funeral Mass was held on Wednesday, February 19th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the St. John Vianney Church (7575 Bellflower Rd, Mentor, OH 44060).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions be made to the Nick D'Angelo Fund (The Cleveland Foundation, PO Box 77051, Cleveland, OH 44194) or Maple Leaf Community Residences (200 Claridon Rd., Chardon, OH 44024).
