He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul Tatar and Margery Tatar. He is survived by: his wife Sally Tatar; his daughters, Leslie Grimm (David), Lauren Preto (Chris) and Lisa Ziss (Andy); his sisters, Eileen "Sissy" Moore (Jack) and Nancy Pelich (Tom); his grandchildren, Jeremy, Molly Grimm, Lyla, Lucas Preto, Caleb and Julianne Ziss; and his brother-in-law Mayer Wainstein (Deanna). He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and long-time friends.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, May 1st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Berkowitz-Kumin-Bookatz Memorial Chapel (1985 S Taylor Rd, Cleveland Heights, OH 44118). A reception will be held on Thursday, May 1st 2025 from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM and on Friday, May 2nd 2025 from 2:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Hilton Garden Inn (700 Beta Dr, Mayfield, OH 44143).
