He was predeceased by: his parents, James E. Smothers and Ruby Hart Smothers; and his sisters, Rita Smothers and Charlene Brown. He is survived by: his spouse Debbi J. Boltz; his children, Victoria Wells (Roger), Stormy Kill (Jarrett Weilacher), LeAnna Smothers and Laura Smothers (Robert Smothers, Jr.); and his grandchildren, Reagan Wells, Addilynn Wells, Autumn Mitchell-Wolfe, Braylen Kill, Isaiah Kill, Charley Smith, Bristol Smith and Karen Smothers of St. Marys.
