He was predeceased by: his father Edward Freewalt; his granddaughter April Etgen Buckler; his great grandchild Joshua Etgen; and his siblings, Forest Freewalt, Denver Freewalt (Martha) and Mary Jean Lauth (Howard).
He is survived by: his children, Larry Freewalt (Cheryl) of Ohio City, Linda Etgen (Rick) and Edward K. Freewalt of Mendon; his grandchildren, Jerry Freewalt (Karen), Jason Freewalt (Erika), Rachel Spencer, Darrell Etgen (Nancy) and Shawn Freewalt (Erika); his siblings-in-law, Don Washburn (Helen) and Tillie Washburn of St. Marys; his parents-in-law, Harley and Violet Washburn; and his siblings-in-law, Mary Houser (William), James Washburn and Shirley Clement (Donald). He is also survived by 18 great-grandchildren.
