He was predeceased by: his parents, Ida Burton (Grossenbaugh) and Stanley Burton; and his siblings, Lawrence Burton, Robert Burton, Ruth Miller, Roberta Lenarth and Dorothea Ray.
He is survived by: his sisters, Phyllis Kehoe and Judy Balnius; his sister-in-law Diana Burton-Root; his children, James Burton, Kathleen Burton and David Burton; and his grandchildren, James Burton (Jennifer), Matthew Spofford (Jennifer), Zachary Spofford (Danielle), Amber Burton and Stephanie Bennett (Travis). He is also survived by seven great-grandchildren, as well as extended family and friends.
