He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas W. Forsythe and Irene M Forsythe (Ramsey). He is survived by: his wife Catherine May Forsythe (Reinert); his siblings, Kathryn Schardt (Dennis) and Raymond Forsythe (Nancy); his children, Robin Hamata (Stanley), Robert D. Forsythe, Jr. (Lynn) and Stephen Forsythe (Paula); and his grandchildren, Nathan Roberts (Jessica), Stanley Hamata, Jr. (Gina), Emily Dexter (Josh), Joseph Hamata, Kristin Alyward (Conner), Rebecca Lundak (Pete), Robert D. Forsythe, III (Michelle), Jamie Forsythe (Paul Smith), Brooke Majstruck (Jeremy), Joanna Wagner (Shawn), Jennifer Phelan (John), Matthew Forsythe (Shawnna), Lisa Donelan (John) and Benjamin Forsythe (Marissa). He is also survived by 26 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandchild, numerous nieces and nephews along with dear friends.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, February 12th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Thursday, February 13th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A funeral service was held on Thursday, February 13th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Matthew Lutheran Church (400 N Broadway St, Medina, OH 44256).
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to Hospice of the Western Reserve or Medina County Senior & Adult Services.
