She was predeceased by: her parents, Dempsey Hardway and Hester Anna Hardway (Lyons); her husband Charles R. Smith, Sr.; and her sister Margaret Ward. She is survived by: her children, Debby Lowman (Bob), Charles R. Smith, Jr. (Pam) and Robert Smith (Lisa); her grandchildren, Sondra, Michael, Chad, Sara and Daniel; her great grandchildren, Isabella, Athena and Noah; and her brother Denver Hardway.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Poe United Methodist Church.
