It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John Sherwood Bauer of Medina, Ohio, born in Elyria, Ohio, who passed away on November 5, 2024, at the age of 73, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Mary Bauer and Alfred "Bud" Bauer; and his nephew Joseph Zalka. He is survived by: his wife Madalyn Bauer (Maiher); his children, John Paul Bauer (Maria) and Bonnie Bauer Morris; his grandchildren, Mackenzie Bauer, Hannah Bauer, Zachary Bauer, Jackson Morris and Margaret Morris; and his sisters, Jody Zalka (Joseph) and Jayne Carlson (Robert).
Visitation was held on Monday, November 18th 2024 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Holy Martyrs Church (3100 Old Weymouth Rd, Medina, OH 44256). A funeral Mass was held on Monday, November 18th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Monday, November 18th 2024 at 1:15 PM at the Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery (10175 Rawiga Rd, Seville, OH 44273).
