He was predeceased by: his parents, Hazel Bennett Flanders and Harvey Aiken Flanders. He is survived by: his wife Lois; his children, Aileen Eckert (Dave) and John Harvey, Jr. (Sue); his grandchildren, John Harvey, III (Jenni), Rob (Courtney), Mike, Sarah Timko (Bruce), Will Eckert and Emily Eckert; his great grandchildren, Raelynn, Hayden, Emma and Harper; and his nieces and nephews, Lisa, Bill, Debby and Jack.

Harvey's favorite charity is the Salvation Army.
