She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Walter McClure and Bessie McClure; her husband Donald Smerick; her children, Jonathan Smerick and Laura Sickels (James Sickels); her grandson David Sickels (Victoria); her great grandchild Cecilia; her grandson Daniel Sickels (Jessica); and her daughter Jennifer Smerick. She was also cherished by mother to her three children.
