He was predeceased by: his parents, Leo Welty and Leota Welty (Boreman); his wife Mavis; and his brothers, Roy and Donald Welty.
He is survived by: his children, Katrina Ward, Brian Welty and Mark Welty (Gay); his grandchildren, Abigail Ward, Andrew Ward and Evan Welty; and his great grandchild Ava. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, February 5th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Waite Funeral Homes - Medina Chapel (765 N Court St, Medina, OH 44256). A funeral service was held on Thursday, February 6th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church (6462 Ridge Rd, Wadsworth, OH 44274).
