He is survived by : his parents, Brent Balika and Deborah Balika (Reed); his siblings, Perry Elyaderani and Madeline Balika; his grandparents, Art, Sue Balika, Robert Reed, Ann and Richard Leibovitz; and his aunts and uncles, Melissa Suitts (late John), Amanda Peterseim (Stuart), Todd Balika (Kim) and Dan Reed (Donna).

“Andy was one of my best friends. It's hard to accept that this happened and it is really truly awful. I miss Andy so much and every day is bleaker without him. To everyone related to Andy and who was close to him, you are in my prayers. Andy was such an amazing kid who was taken from us way too early. My favorite memory of him is when we would do Zoom meetings during homework club and screen share then look up really dumb jokes and pictures and just crack up for hours. I truly miss that. I put one picture of him from the meetings on this page, he truly cracked me up.”
