He is survived by: his children, Edward Shankel (Talawn) of Paris, Byron Shankel (Waneda) of Mechanicstown, Shari Shankel of Mechanicstown and Laura Gingerich (Titus) of Hartville; and his siblings, John Shankel (Barbara) of Carmel, IN and Jean Slemboski of Canton. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren, 1 great grandson and many loving nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
