He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard "Dick" DeWitt and Louise DeWitt (Pack); his brother Donald Hannah; and his grandparents, Roy and Monica Pack.

He is survived by: his spouse Navora "Bo" Smith; his children, Robert Keith DeWitt II and Ashley N. DeWitt; his grandchildren, Bryen A. DeWitt, Eliza R. DeWitt, Alayna A. Burnham and Dawson R. DeWitt; his siblings, Richard DeWitt, James DeWitt, Tony Hannah and Lisa Coleman; his cousin Rick Pack; his uncles, Roy A Pack and Keith Pack; his close friends, Bruce Johnson, Melvin Patt Jr. and Brett Venrick; and his pet Rotten.
