He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold Ruth and Helen Ruth (Potker); his wife Mary "Darlene" Ruth (Eckenrod); his daughters, Deanna Marie and Helen Renae; his brothers, Harold Ruth, Oscar Ruth and Carl Ruth; and his brother-in-law Russ Wellman.
He is survived by: his children, Annette Shaw, James Ruth (Tracey) and Jayson Ruth (Kelli); and his sister Helen Wellman (Russ). He is also survived by 11 grandchildren, and 1 great-granddaughter.
