He was predeceased by: his parents, Everett Amis and Elizabeth Amis; his wife Betty Amis; and his siblings, Ernest, Sim, Roy and Marjorie Tidwell.
He is survived by: his children, Kevin Amis (Linda Packer) and Kathy Merrill (William); his grandchildren, Alicia Amis (Kyle Jones), Nikki Rizer (Steven), Tyler Merrill (Amelia Rodriguez) and Zach Merrill; his great grandchild Ryouma; and his sisters, Betty Roe (Paul) and Julie Roush. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
