He was predeceased by: his parents, James Pearley and Safrona Leah Edwards (Standley); his wife Nellie E. Netzel; his daughter Charlene Beard; his siblings, Lewis A. Edwards, Naomi Conley, Edith Shelpman and Jean Mitchell; and his close friend Janice Lucas.
He is survived by: his children, Jim Edwards (Linda), Cindy Cokain (Don) and Richard Edwards; his son-in-law John Beard; his grandchildren, Chad Edwards, Scott Charles Anderson, Thomas James Anderson, Malina Dawn Copas and Jeremy Beard; his brother Gerald Edwards; his brother-in-law Charles Conley; and his niece Melody Kucharski (Charles). He is also survived by several great-grandchildren.
