He was predeceased by: his parents, Lawrence Kauffman and Mildred Kauffman (Thayer); his wife Marjorie E. Virts; his daughter Dorothy "Dottie" Norris; his son-in-law Rock Brenner; his siblings, Vernon, Donald Kauffman and Margaret Smith; and his siblings-in-law, John Smith, Jim Stimmel, Ruth Kauffman, Alta Kauffman, Jayne Kauffman and Martha Donohoe.
He is survived by: his children, Virginia Cahoon (John), Kay Grigsby (Bob), Wendy Brenner and Charles P. "Skip" Kauffman (Carla); his son-in-law Richard "Ju" Norris; his brother David Kauffman; and his siblings-in-law, Jane Stimmel, Jim Virts (Nancy) and Harvey Donohoe. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, and 3 great great grandchildren.
