He is survived by: his wife Janice Burkholder (Paladenic); his children, Joseph Burkholder (Renee) of Tallmadge, Shawn (Lizeth) of Escondido and Melissa Fleshman (Jeff) of Dallas, Texas; his brothers, Dan Burkholder (Marylou) of Boardman and Bill Burkholder (Sally) of Charlotte; and his grandchildren, Hannah, Emily, JoJo, Shawny, Simone, Everett, Cora and Vienna.
The family asks that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Second Harvest Food Bank or Toys for Tots in Joseph's Memory.
