We bid farewell to John W. Douglas of McDonald, Ohio, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on January 26, 2025 at the age of 83. John touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. As John departs from this earthly realm, his essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though John may no longer walk beside us, his spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy John leaves behind.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Kenneth W. Douglas and Agnes Douglas (Bryn); and his son James Wallace Douglas. He is survived by: his wife Loretta Schloss Douglas; and his brother Greg Douglas (Pam) of Ridgefield, Washington. He is also survived by seven nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 6th 2025 from 1:30 PM to 3:00 PM at the Blackstone Funeral Home (672 Churchill Rd, Girard, OH 44420). A memorial service will be held on Thursday, February 6th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the same location.
The family suggests that any memorial contributions be made to: Girard Multi-Generational Center, 443 Trumbull Ave., Girard, Ohio 44420, in memory of John.
