She was predeceased by: her parents, William Schroeder and Frances Mann Schroeder; her husband Clayton Fred Chaffin; her daughter Diana Sue Chaffin; and her brother William Schroeder.
She is survived by: her daughters, Deborah Chaffin Scaff of McDermott and Doreena Chaffin Collins of Bainbridge; and her grandchildren, Mary Grant of McDermott, Joshua Saunders of McDermott, Freddy Blankenship of Middletown and Christy Castle of Middletown. She is also survived by 13 great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family request that donations be made to the Alzheimer's Association in Mary's memory.
