He was predeceased by: his father Alvin B.; his brother James Mays; and his son-in-law Terry Hague. He is survived by: his wife Carolyn E. St. Clair Mays; his daughters, Allison Wilson of Dayton, Evelyn Borders (James) of Mt. Vernon and Teresa Hague of Fredericktown; his stepson Paul Johnson (Davia) of Racine; his sisters, Ina VanMeter of Tuppers Plains, Karen White of Proctorville and Avice Spencer of Bashan; his grandchildren, Adam, Arika, Brett, Danielle, Andrea, Jenna, Zoe, Zack, Randy and Ethan; and his great grandchild Patty Hauger of Mt. Vernon. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and the mother.
