He was predeceased by: his parents, Brian Murphey and Tina Childers Murphey. He is survived by: his daughter Olivia Murphey of Malta; and his siblings, Brian Murphey (Monica) of McConnelsville and Karissa Murphey of McConnelsville. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
