He was predeceased by: his parents, Gilbert "Funny" and Helen Altstaetter (Newlove); his brothers-in-law, Jim Sheidler, Jack Sheidler and Phil Davis; and his nephew Kevin Davis.
He is survived by: his wife Judith Sheidler; his children, J. David Altstaetter, Colleen Kaufman (Larry) and Chad Altstaetter (Kim); his grandchildren, Alison Altstaetter (Dave Dehart), Amanda Hunt (Jake), Jacob Newton, Megan Greer (Colten), Conner Altstaetter and Carter Altstaetter; his great grandchildren, Eliza, Lydia, Corra Dehart, Bridgette Hunt, Emrey, Miloh DeLaCerda, Ryland Hunt, Haylee, Benjamin Newton and Cooper Greer; his brother Dennis Altstaetter (Barb) of Northfield, MN; and his sisters-in-law, Nancy Sheidler, Pandora, Joellen Davis and Mickye Sheilder of Panama City, FL. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Bridge Home and Hospice, Findlay, OH or McComb Panthers Athletic Booster Club.
