She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Henry Shoemaker and Belva Shoemaker; her husband James Montague; and her children, Gary Montague, Lois Carol Bayse (Ben), Janice Stoepfel (Jim), Jerry Montague (Bett), Phyllis Foltz (John) and Shelley Pahl (Dennis). She was also cherished by 10 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren and 1 great—great granddaughter.
