He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernest Behnfeldt and Hildegard Behnfeldt (Bostelman); his brother Robert Behnfeldt; his sons, Bradley and Mark Behnfeldt; his son-in-law Bill Melton; and his brother-in-law David Northrup.
He is survived by: his children, Christine Melton of Mansfield and Chad Behnfeldt (Sarah) of McClure, Ohio; his grandchildren, Alex Melton, Austin Melton, Ben Ruder and Grace Behnfeldt; his siblings, Virgil Behnfeldt (Jean) and Carlyn Northrup; and his sister-in-law Nancy Behnfeldt.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to St. Paul Lutheran Church of McClure, Ohio or Lutheran Social Services of Northwestern Ohio.
