He was predeceased by: his father Emil Ehlers; his son Michael Ehlers; his siblings, Emma Wachtman, Arnold Ehlers and Eldor Ehlers; and his cousins, Raymond Ehlers, Marian Allen and Bernadine Rudolph.
He is survived by: his wife Connie Spangler; his children, Dennis Ehlers (Norma), Beth Junge (Norm) and Aaron Ehlers (Melissa); his grandchildren, Colby Ehlers (Loretta), Desarae Miller (Tony), Nathan Junge (Chelsea), Chris Ehlers (Kayla), Nicole Ehlers, Haden Ehlers, Zachary Ehlers and Trenton Ehlers; his great grandchildren, Riley, Hunter Ehlers, Landon, Brenna Massie, Ansley Ehlers, Preston, Alexa, Keaton Miller, Austin and Alyssa Junge; and his siblings, Norma Beck (Richard) and Fred Ehlers (Doris).
Memorial contributions are suggested to St. Jude's Children Research Hospital or Bridge Hospice.
