He was predeceased by: his parents, Rowland G. Newman and Rowena F. South Newman; and his brother Larry Rowland Newman. He is survived by: his wife Cinda D. Long Newman; his children, John David Newman of McArthur, Misty Ladawn Newman of Columbus and Cinda Faye Newman (Leroy May) of McArthur; his grandchildren, Robert J. Newman, Jordan Josiah Nichols and Leeann Nicole Nichols; his sister Patricia M. Orth of McArthur; and his nephew Anthony Long of Columbus.
