He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert H. Brotherton Sr. and Elta Brotherton (McKinney); his former wife Linda; his siblings, Earl Jones (Dorothy) and Fran Bullock (Richard); and his brother-in-law Frank Wiseman.
He is survived by: his wife Sharon K. Brotherton (Peacock); his children, Annette Thompson (Mark) of McArthur and Scott Brotherton of Mathews; his stepdaughter Anna Marie Lewis (Will) of Jackson; his grandchildren, Korey Thompson (Julie) of McArthur, Briana Bledsoe (Kaleb) of Allensville, Sofia and Spencer Brotherton of Mathews; his stepgranddaughters, Sarah and Jenna Lewis of Jackson; his great grandchildren, Kane, Kaden Thompson, Kyler, Kloe and Karter Bledsoe; and his sister Rita Wiseman of Hamden. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
