He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul Gaier and Ollie Arlene Ray Gaier; his wife Delores Sodders Gaier; his siblings, Richard Allen Gaier and Shirley McAtee; and his brother-in-law Fred McAtee.
He is survived by: his brother Philip Dale Gaier of McArthur; his nieces and nephews, Gergory Paul Gaier of McArthur, Kelly McAtee of Springfield, Matthew Gaier of Springfield, Scott Gaier of Springfield, Jenny Cook of Plain City, Patricia Gaier of Springfield and Amy Gaier of Springfield; and his sisters-in-law, Regina Gaier of Springfield and Phyllis Gaier of Springfield.
