He is survived by: his wife Betty Ruth Peck Steele; his daughters, Shannon Steele Secoy of Athens, Kimberly Bentley (Steve) of Hamden and Christy (Brianna); his grandchildren, Brittany, Brandon, Bradley, Jenna, Kayla and Ashlee; and his siblings, Boyd Steele (Brenda) of Toledo, Paul Steele (Christina) of McArthur, Joe Steele of Chillicothe, Jeff Steele (Gro) of Vinton County, Karen Spurling of Wilkesville, Ivy McCollum (Larry) of Londonderry and Kathy Faulkner of Vinton County. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
