He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Henry Nickell and Ruth Irene Craig Nickell; his brother Henry Nickell; and his pets, Chloe and Aries.
He is survived by: his wife Linda Brown Nickell; his children, Joey Nickell (Michelle), Melissa Hammond (Steve) and Tammy Russ (Curtis); his siblings, David Nickell (Jeni), Judy Long (Phil) and Marty Kruger (Fred); and his uncle Joe Pattison. He is also survived by 15 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren.
