She was predeceased by: her parents, Glenn Sowers and Margaret Sowers (Allender); her husband Clarence D. "Beanie" Ward; her son Douglas Dean Ward; her great grandchild Brynn; and her siblings, Judy Blue and William Sowers.
She is survived by: her daughter Valerie Dixon (Mike) of McArthur; her grandchildren, Michael Dixon (Allison) of McArthur and Wendy Peoples (Thomas) of Hamden; her great grandchildren, Hanna and Ian; her sister JoAnn Haskins of McArthur; her siblings-in-law, Bob Blue, Nancy Sowers, Laura Ankrom (Willis) and Iris Ward; and her pet Rambo.
