It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jay Hughes of McArthur, Ohio, who passed away on June 14, 2021, at the age of 72, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Jay Hughes to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence Thomas Hughes and Mary Alzina Brooks Hughes; and his siblings, Dorothy Robinette, Florence Ousley, Jean Marcum, Clarence Hughes and Sandy Sharp.
He is survived by: his wife Carol A. Allen Hughes; his children, Jared Ray Hughes of McArthur and Carey S. Hughes of McArthur; his stepson Eric Jones of McArthur; his grandchildren, Alex, Wakiza, Zaine, Brett, Derick and Erin; his sister Glenna Kay Morris (Micky) of Dundas; and his niece Mary Lou Thacker of Wellston. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family request memorial contributions be given to the McArthur Fire Department, 303 West High Street, McArthur, Ohio 45651.
