With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Harold Dean Lafferty (McArthur, Ohio), born in Garrett, Kentucky, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on January 16, 2025 at the age of 90. He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur Laferty and Elma Holbrook Laferty; and his siblings, Charles, Buster, Bill, Bobby, Ray and Wanda Lee.
He is survived by: his sister Vivian Withrow of McArthur, Ohio.; his wife Marcella Jane Cartee; his children, Diana Johnston (Randy) of Allensville, Beverly Locklear (Michael) of Savannah, Georgia and Eric Lafferty of McArthur, Ohio; his grandchildren, Aprille Park (Brandon), Zach Johnston (Kaitlyn), Sarah Lawson (Ethan), Caleb Locklear (Meredith), Caitlyn Lafferty and Autumn Lafferty; and his great grandchildren, Asher, Oliver, Evelyn, Cecilia and Amelia.
Visitation will be held on Monday, January 27th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Garrett-Cardaras Funeral Home (201 W High St, McArthur, OH 45651). A funeral service will be held on Monday, January 27th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Monday, January 27th 2025 at the Hamden Cemetery (669 S Main St, Hamden, OH 45634).
