He was predeceased by: his parents, Wilbert Yates and Ruth Yates (Farabee). He is survived by: his wife Teresa; his son Matt Yates (Koty); his granddaughters, Keirsten and Kelsey; and his siblings, Joseph Yates (Linda), Janet Frazier and Theresa Ware.
