He was predeceased by: his mother Susie Bell Scarberry Gibson; his stepfather James E. Gibson; his brothers, Jay Bird, Jeffery Gibson and James E. Gibson Jr.; and his nephew Dana Lee Lafferty Jr..
He is survived by: his daughters, Janaye Hunter (Shannon) of Mesa, Megan Scarberry of Herriman, Charity Gray of Wellston and Christie Scarberry of Jackson; his siblings, Willard Gibson of McArthur, Janet Perry (David Shafer) of Wellston and Virginia Lafferty (Danny) of McArthur; and his sister-in-law Pam Gibson of McArthur. He is also survived by grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
