He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles A. "Chike" Sands and Ruth Rice (Williams). He is survived by: his stepmother Joan Sands; his children, Jim "Bunky" Sands and Trisha Sands; his grandchildren, Skylar Sands, Amber Woltz, Joshua Williams (Dominique Dickinson) and Stephanie Williams (Josh Osborne); and his siblings, Kim Rice (Beth), Jeff Sands (Jackie) and Kimberly Sands. He is also survived by his nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
