He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur Lafferty and Alma Holbrook Lafferty; his wife Barbara Ann Thompson Laferty; his son James D. Laferty; and his siblings, Archie, William "Bill", Harless Lafferty and Wanda Lee Sloan.
He is survived by: his daughter Donna Leonard (John) of San Diego, California; his granddaughter Nancy Harris (Ryan); his great grandchildren, Tyler and Gunnar Barnett; and his siblings, Harold Dean Lafferty (Marcella) and Vivian Withrow (Bill). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
