Arther Hammond Obituary
We are sad to announce that on May 4, 2021, at the age of 75, Arther Hammond of McArthur, Ohio passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Gordon Hammond and Norma Marcum Hammond; his former wife Catherine Hackney Hammond; and his siblings, Wilbur Hammond, Delores Pope, Nannie Marcum and Mary Ann Burgess.
He is survived by: his wife Evelyn Nickels Gilliland Hammond; his children, Arther Hammond Jr. (Kimmie) of Hebron, Jeff Hammond of Centerville, Dianna Berry of The Plains, Amy Ward (Dustin) of McArthur and Jenny Wells (John) of Wilkesville; his stepchildren, Scott Gilliland (Annette) of Dayton and Shannon Allman (Chip) of Chillicothe; and his sister Ruby Adkins of Pikeville. He is also survived by seventeen grandchildren; three great grandchildren.
Friends may call at the funeral home on Monday, from 5 p. m. to 8 p. m. Please observe all COVID-19 guidelines by wearing a mask and social distancing while in attendance.
