She was predeceased by: her parents, Stanley Josefczyk and Florence Josefczyk (Shrieve); her sister Doris Kull; her sister-in-law Louise Josefczyk; her niece Trudy Kowalcyk; and her nephew Eric Kull.
She is survived by: her husband Lanny Walters; her niece Leigh Alexander (Kull); her great-niece Kimberlee Kafana (Jay); her godchildren, J'lyse Kafana and Amanda Theobald (Haught); her pets, Gracie, JLo, Janis, Lily and Ozzy; and also J'lyse.
Whether she was helping raise her nieces, teaching bible school at her church, donating items to the women's shelter, organizing golf scrambles, softball tournaments, decorating the Veterans Honor Roll for the town of Maynard, or handing out the best Halloween treats in town for the children, Rita went above and beyond for everyone and everything.
