He was predeceased by: his father Clarence Robert; his daughter Anne (Thomas); his wife Barbara Jane Lindsey Drake; his daughter Sarah (John); his great grandchild Drake; and his siblings, Virgil and Roberta.

He is survived by: his sons, William (Laurie) and James (Linda).

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Northwest Ohio, or Fisher House Ann Arbor.
