He was predeceased by: his parents, Wilbur Patterson and Mary Lou Patterson; and his brother Jim. He is survived by: his wife Nancy; his children, Jill, Douglas and Stephen; his grandchildren, Emma, Jon Clay, Chloe, Zachary, Gianna, Gavin and Griffin; his siblings, Joyce Gibson, Jane Greer and Jeff Patterson; and his in-laws, Barbara Nichter and Tim Nichter.
