He was predeceased by : his parents, Clifford Patton and Mildred Patton (Baumhower); and his sister Beverly. He is survived by : his wife Juanita Patton; his children, John Patton (Tami), Leilla Estrada (Gregory), Tonia Patton, Nathan Patton, Gloria Lucio (Rodney), Gilbert Perez (Stella) and Esther Shroyer (Jimmy); and his sister Sharon Beach. He is also survived by 16 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association or the Alzheimer's Association in John's memory.
