He was predeceased by : his parents, Glenard Michael and Earline Michael (Mitchell); and his sister Ruth Goudy. He is survived by : his wife Keeshond; his former life partner Nancy (Beach); his children, Vicki Swartz (Jimm) and Doug Michael (Robin); his grandchildren, Michael Swartz (Kourtney Sullivan), Matthew Swartz, Tyler Swartz (Amber), Nicole Stine (Carlton) and John Michael (Tori); and his great grandchildren, Landon, Theodore, Connor and Jacob.

Memorial contributions can be given to the Waterville United Methodist Church.
