He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph John and Olive Irene Makay (Robbins); and his sister Nancy Green. He is survived by: his daughters, Jennifer Makay, Kathryn Makay Johnson and Elizabeth Makay Leonard; his grandchildren, Andrew Makay, Paige Makay-Arnold, Sarah Drobny, Mary Drobny Weaver, Nikki Johnson and Alex Leonard; his stepchildren, Kristen Lancaster, Samantha Rogers and David Schmidt; and his sister Susan Northrup. He is also survived by 6 children, his 2 great-grandchildren.
