He was predeceased by: his wife Phyllis Petty; his granddaughter Rhonda Barker; and his siblings, Charles, Donald, Phillip Petty, Jeanne Lambert, Carol Groh and Margery Howard.
He is survived by: his children, Donna Danekind (John), Barbara Cochrane (Ron), James K. Petty (Maria), Alice Bruhn (Steve) and Lori Miller (Mike); his sisters, Nancy Hickey (Jerry) and Leslie King (David); and his grandchildren, Sean, Carrie, Ronnie, Josh, Julia, Justin, Chelsea, Shannon, Rachel and Aaron. He is also survived by 19 great-grandchildren and 12 great-great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Northwest Ohio or Maumee Valley Habitat for Humanity.
