With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Rosevelt Currie Sr. of Masury, Ohio, who passed away on March 8, 2024 at the age of 88. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Buster Currie and Flossie Mae Currie (Mason); his wife Mary Frances Currie; his sons, Phillip Currie and Terry Nixon; and his siblings, Maxine Currie, Anna Snow, LeRoy Currie and Early Currie.
He is survived by: his children, Linda Scott of Raleigh, Preston Currie of New Castle, Gregory Currie (Kimberly) of Durham, Roosevelt Currie, Jr. of Durham and Melinda Willie (James) of Durham; and his siblings, Shirley Dixon (James) of Masury, Fannie Scott of Sharon, Mary Washington of Sharon, Buster Currie, Jr. (Martha "Fran") of Sharon and Walter Currie (Iris) of Farrell. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren.
