He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul Murphy and Marian Murphy; his parents-in-law, Ernie and Marcedes Highben; and his siblings, Curtis, Kelly, Randy Murphy and Linda Murphy.

He is survived by: his wife Brenda Murphy; his sons, Curtis and Kyle Murphy; and his brothers, Steve (Michelle) and Keith Murphy (Lisa).
